The Semi-tropic - Reservar mesa

The Semi-Tropic is is a pleasant surprise. My wife and I were out on a date while our children were doing their thing, and we bumped into this wonderful establishment. Parking is a bit sketchy. However, the atmosphere is cool and relaxing. I enjoyed watching the bartender shake drinks. He did it so rhythmically, yes I think the thing that surprised me the most was the food. I ordered a shrimp like poor boy. I’m not sure what it was but oh my God it was so good perfectly the shrimp were perfect. The amount was yes enough yes spilling over enough it was just delicious and my wife order she said her food was delicious too so friendly people over there. I absolutely loved the cocktails and the ambiance at The Semi-Tropic! The outdoor patio is fantastic, and the staff is incredibly friendly. *Update* It's been nearly a year since my initial review, and during that time, The Semi-Tropic has become one of my favorite bars in Los Angeles. The service remains consistently friendly and accommodating. The indoor acoustics are enjoyable, and the patio is both spacious and inviting. They host a variety of exciting events throughout the year, making it a wonderful place to visit every time.

Max Kroeten, a Local Guide, mentioned a few months ago that this is a great cocktail bar! He noted that he visited three years ago and found the vibes similar in a positive way. It's a nice spot to relax after a walk or drive around the area. Lauren DanaBoynton, another Local Guide, praised this place for its great drinks and ambiance. She highlighted the expanded outdoor patio with heaters, as well as the excellent service. Just a heads-up—the tables outside can be prone to spills. Overall, it’s definitely worth checking out!

I visited this restaurant with a friend during happy hour, and it was excellent! We ordered two Cowboy Killer cocktails, which arrived in a bottle filled with a delightful, campfire-like smoke. We also tried the flatbread and watermelon salad. Normally, I'm not a fan of watermelon salad, but this one was amazing! I brought home a shrimp roll for my boyfriend, and he couldn’t stop raving about it. I will definitely be returning! My only suggestion is that parking can be a bit challenging, but it's absolutely worth it! Reserve uma mesa agora

The bartender is truly passionate about his craft, and the service is on par with an upscale bar at a five-star resort—without the pretentiousness. The drinks are quite innovative, and the cocktails we ordered were perfectly balanced, with careful consideration given to both flavor and presentation. The laid-back atmosphere makes it an excellent choice for a weekday date. Plus, their prices are refreshingly pre-pandemic! I give it 10 stars. Long live Semi-Tropic!

Wonderful ambiance ! Was easy to find street parking even on the weekend. Very well mixed drinks ! The shishito peppers were a lovely snack to munch on. We had the bit crusher which was a very good drink (even for me not a huge mezcal fan) and the parrot project which was milky and sweet (but not too sweet). Overall loved it and will definitely be coming back!

The bartender and waitress were so attentive. We ordered the Nunca sabe and parrot project cocktails and they were delicious. It’s a good place to bring a date.
