The Shop At Dovetail

This restaurant in Charlestown is one of the best. It's the perfect spot for a full dinner or just a couple of drinks with a snack. The open kitchen and professional servers gave us a great impression of the restaurant. The mussels with wine were spectacular and paired well with the bread. We ended up ordering a few extra pieces of bread to finish off the sauce. The fig sandwich was also delicious. This restaurant has a lively atmosphere, and you really can't go wrong with any choice on the menu.

Came to try the roast beef after Boston Magazine named the 4-way one of the best around Boston. I was excited for a change from the 3-way but I should have gone to Arby's because at least then I would have known how bad it would be. Over-cheesy, way overcooked beef with so little on the sandwich, only every other bite contained beef. The aioli, peppers and fried shallots didn't make up for lost ground. Barely made it through half, will stick with the 3-way.

Very polite service and a nice selection! I had the spicy Italian, and the focaccia literally just came out of the oven. Would love to see some more light sandwich choices as well.The drinks and other store items are a bit pricey, but seen high quality.

The cafe is awesome!! The staff is really friendly. The Striped Bass soup is to die for!! It has an excellent earthy and smokey flavor!! It’s the best soup I have ever had.
