The Sportsman Pub - Reservar mesa

We had a fantastic evening at this restaurant, starting with easy parking right next to the pub. The staff greeted us warmly and the menu was extensive, resembling more of a restaurant than a typical pub. Everyone went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful experience. It was a quiet night and we enjoyed the beautiful frosty morning and the sunrise over the fields. We were tempted to stick around longer, but we had to leave, so breakfast will have to wait for our next visit!

great garden and playground. wonderful staff and excellent selection of softdrinks, spirituosen and local ales. they have private wooden pods on the terrace for distance eating at rain. probably advisable to make a phone call and book if they wanted to eat specifically in one of them. easy to cycle from hurstpierpoint/hassocks/Burgess mountain along safer lanes (and new bike path on improved a2300)

Visited for lunch on Friday in the sunshine. Sat in the garden all very pleasant. Lady who served us very helpful and friendly. Would recommend booking. Service quite quick. Had burger which was a little dry.. Try something different next time. Visited again in February for dinner, limited menu, as some things solid out. Good car park and clean toilets.

Last minute decision to treat ourselves to a meal out with our puppy in tow. We were all welcomed by the friendly and accommodating staff- even a bowl of water and a doggy treat for our pup! Atmosphere was cosy. Staff were super friendly and the perfect balance of attentiveness. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals and would definitely recommend this pub. Reserve uma mesa agora

My wife and I dined here, and I must say it was one of the best meals I've had anywhere. I'm typically not a fan of overpriced desserts, but the daily crumble was fantastic, and my main dish was equally impressive. The staff were incredibly lovely as well. A top-notch experience all around. We will definitely be back!

The dining experience was absolutely fantastic. The portions were quite generous, and I have no complaints. If you're looking for a delightful Sunday roast, this is definitely the place to visit. We had a great selection to choose from, including beef, chicken, pork, and lamb—plenty of options to satisfy any palate.

Came across this lovely pub by chance after visiting a local farm, the food was absolutely amazing and service matched it! The outside area was so peaceful and lovely. Will definitely be returning!
