"This is my first time back in the Hampton Taphouse in quite a while. Just over a year I guess. We stopped in here after attending the Mariners' Craft Beer Festival today. I had a hankering for a Purple Haze, unfortunately they no longer carry my cherished beverage. I settled for a Snake Bite and took a look at the menu. I ended up ordering a the Smokehouse Burger for lunch, which is a bacon cheeseburger with house BBQ Mayo. The burger was ok, it hit the spot, however it was a bit overcooked and dry. The BBQ mayo was there, but I couldn't taste the BBQ. The fries were just generic fries, nothing to write home about. They definitely weren't as warm as by burger. All in all, minor complaints,...

I came in town to visit my mom for Mother 's Day and she wanted to have dinner here. I love beer, so this was an easy yes for me. Both my mom and I ordered the Cheeseburger and Fries, and first impressions were that the menu was pricey for bar food. I was also borderline annoyed with the $1 up charge for fries...until our food came out. Listen man, those fries were worth all 100 extra pennies. And my burger was everything that I hoped it would be and more. Totally worth the $12! I also ordered a magically delicious Dragon 's Milk which is a bourbon barrel aged stout. It tastes like a chocolate candy bar, and is always at the top of my list for essential beverages. I read some of the other re...

The Taphouse is one of the oldest buildings in Hampton, and the bar is loaded with so much old world charm that it harkens back to days of Sailors and Schooners. Within moments, I could see that we were in a locals' favorite hot spot, which was just what I was looking for on a rainy afternoon Our bartender Crystal, a cool dreadlock sporting drinkslinger, was extremely friendly. She immediately suggested the perfect sandwich, a massive club, for my foodie desires. This delicious gut buster was loaded with ham, turkey, bacon, and cheese; it was club sandwich of Dagwood Bumpsted's (If you're not familiar with Dagwood, let's just say he liked a big sandwich). Crystal also helped me find the perf...

This place is so legit that I had to write an updated review... I originally started going to Taphouse as a way to unwind after work on Monday. I mean, I know the weekend just ended, but who doesn't HATE Monday? Pint night was the reason I started going, but the food is the reason I keep coming back. About 4 months ago, a server named Jules insisted that my friend and I try one of the specials...and every Monday for the last 4 months, I've eaten one of the special at Taphouse. Whoever their chef is...he NEEDS a raise! TH has THE BEST bar food in all of Hampton. I'd put that on my mama, son! When people ask me where to eat when they're in my neck of the woods, I recommend 3 places (I like to...

Wow this place has great food! Bf and I came here on a Wednesday before Xmas to grab some drinks and apps. Live music started at 9 in the upstairs portion of the restaurant but there was a $10 cover to get upstairs. We could hear the music perfectly from our booth downstairs lol. Onto the food... I ordered the potstickers and the crab dip with pita bread. Omg. Potstickers were to die for and the crab dip was so fresh. Even had jalapeño peppers in it! It was delicious. Bf got spicy meatballs, basket of fries and chicken tenders. He absolutely loved the meatballs and chicken tenders saying it was some of the best he's had. The fries were just OK. Nothing special, kinda droopy lol. Service was...
