The Tharp Arms - Reservar uma mesa

I travelled from London for a birthday gathering here. The garden was hired out for a private BBQ and drinks where available to purchase from the bar inside. Being from London I am not used to such little gems. It is only a small pub but very homely and personal. Everyone knew everyone. It was the perfect place to have such a function. The bar appeared to be well stocked, competitive prices for drinks, adequate seating area inside, clean toilets and friendly bar staff. I'm sure I'l visit again one day in the near future

During our holiday in the area, we decided to stop by for a drink at this restaurant. The cozy atmosphere with lovely fires burning in both rooms made us feel very welcome. The restroom was beautifully designed and the pub quiz, hosted by a fantastic man, was a highlight of our visit. The locals were friendly, chatty, and welcoming, making our experience even more enjoyable. I highly recommend paying a visit to this place!

There is no ambiance, the food is lacking, and the service is inconsistent depending on the mood of the owner. This pub used to be great (see my previous review), but now it is struggling due to poor management. It is unfortunate that a small village has to deal with subpar service.

We had a family funeral in Chippenham and as the village had much family link we chose the pub as our wake location. The pub is so traditional and warmly. They put together a lovely spread of food and it has sufficient seating inside and seating outside for nice weather.

This is an excellent pub with delicious food and friendly staff. It was very cozy with the fire going on a cold day, and it was great to see it bustling on a Saturday afternoon. Every time our group comes here, we are always well taken care of.
