The Vic Cafe - Reservar mesa

This was our only negative experience in the county.not only were we charged the wrong amount to start, but our two drinks were served at least 10 minutes apart and our meals did not come for over half hour. The wrong meal was brought to our table and then the server did not bring the meals to the patrons who had ordered it - so they had to come and get it from the the counter. They had forgotten about our order and had to start it at that point. The family beside us waited 20 minutes for their drinks and then I suggested that they ask about it, and they found out that they were forgotten as well. I do not recommend this place at all. Cozy and pretty small cafe, cutely decorated with a menu that offers healthy choices. The four of us ordered the Queen's breakfast plate/no meat at $13.99 which one must pay ahead while ordering. When breakfast came to our table we were all very surprised and disappointed by how extremely tiny the size of the portion of each and every thing included in this breakfast option was. I am a 115 lb. person, not tall and not a person that eats junk food at all, always trying to pick quality over quantity and not minding the price if its worth it. We found this place by chance, driving through Picton on our way to Sandbanks. What a great find! Lovely, bright decor and a great menu! I had the Canada combo (half bowl of soup with grilled cheese and jam sandwich) and it was delicious! Great presentation, fresh food, delicious flavours! My husband got one if the bowls and liked it too. Sour cherry hand pie for dessert - yum! I just loved the vibe and food - we sat inside and could have hung out there all day. Went to Vic's after reading the Trip reviews for Picton , and was not disappointed . First impressions were ok , but it needs someone on the customer side of the counter to direct and clear - for these prices , stacking your own dirties into wire baskets at the back of the restaurant is not the best farewell memory .So saying , the menu was interesting , and the rice dishes were fresh and varied ,with organic produce being a real bonus - the back- tastes of Soy , Chili , and Fish Sauces were also subtle and interesting . The Vic wasn't our first choice, but the place we had been recommended was closed, so we went there. The staff was friendly and the food was ok. I would rprobably have given it four stars here, but a "tricky" menu entry impressed us badly.We ordered one of the breakfast options, which listed two slices of bread among other things. Surprisingly, when our order arrived, we found out that the two slices were actually one cut into two pieces.Do the owners really need to do that? Are they in such a difficult financial situation that they feel the need to resort to these tricks?

Everything on the menu was great and looked wonderful. It even had our non vegetarian friends excited.The decor is artistic and casual. The staff was very knowledgeable of all menu items and made good recommendations. The food was prepared fresh and was delicious. The downfall, 3 of the 4 diners that we were with found hair in their food. Would recommend looking at hairnets for the staff,

When travelling on vacation, it's always difficult to eat healthy when you're dining out all of the time. The "Vic" was a great find. Fresh delicious food. We were there when they were experimenting on a terrace right next door, and this was working well in my opinion. Highly recommended place to stop for a healthy bite.

We stopped for an impromptu lunch and were very impressed. The rice bowls were excellent...healthy and delicious. The atmosphere was great and the patio was super nice too. The staff were friendly and helpful. Gluten free options. We'll definitely go back. Reserve uma mesa agora

This place is a charming place. Decoration with style. Good coffee. A good surprise for a rainy day. But : They forgot to serve us a scone. It was funny. My daughter pick it up by herself. We will come back !

Went there for the first time last night. Fresh, crispy veggies surrounding rice. Delicious. The staff are friendly, helpful and passionate about their food.
