The five stars is mainly for Mandy, who was my family's server earlier today! What makes a restaurant fully stand out is the quality of food, environment and the Guest Service. Mandy was wonderful!! Being that it was Mother's Day, I made an 1100 reservation about a week prior through OpenTable. Happy I did, since when we arrived, there was a huge group being seated before us. After them, we were welcomed and promptly seated. The lunch menu was impressive. I was use to scanning the QR code for the menu, but what was very sweet was Mandy taking out a tablet for my parents to read the menu. I brought my sister and niece to dinner after I had a wonderful experience at this nice little neighborhood gem. It did not disappoint! We had starters of empanadas and tomato and strawberry bruschetta. Both were fantastic, but the texture of the empanada crust and the beautiful mushrooms and fontina inside was sublime. Our entrees of rock shrimp risotto and paella were stellar. The care to every detail of flavor balance, texture and presentation is amazing. Both eyes and taste buds were impressed. For dessert, we had the bread pudding and it was perfect, soft and custardy with a scoop of vanilla ice cream that I had a couple of dreams about later. The wine list is great and the service left...
Had a 26 dollar burger with crumbled blue cheese and grilled onions. You couldn't see either when the plate was put in front of me . Had to lift up the bun to see it . When it came out it look like a large mcdonald burger. Just as flat . No lettuce , no tomato . Don't look appetizing. It's taste blah . Probably a bland burger and most over priced burger I have had in my 52 years .
We came to the restaurant for dinner with the family. Food was good, appetizers tasted good.My complaint is that they add an extra 20% for large parties without any prior notification.We were not informed about that when making the reservation and it is not written anywhere on the menu.It says on the bill extra 20% for large parties 10+,,, even though we were a party of 8 !!! Best baguette and butter combo I’ve ever had. The wines have improved and we liked them all in the tasting. We got the Can Fran bottle for the table. We shared a wonderful chopped salad and some airline chicken on carrot purée. Perfection. They’ve remodeled and it looks nice.
