The White Hart Inn

My partner and I had a lovely few days here in the Spruce cottage with our border collie. The cottage is basic but has what you need, beds are comfy, it's quiet and a nice change to be in the countryside surrounding from busy London. Only thing is cottage doesn't have WiFi but you can go the pub for it next to the cottage. The pub is a unique gem. The food, vibe and hospitality is amazing. The staff are very friendly and accommodating and welcoming. The food is delicious. Loved the charcuterie board with fresh cooked warm soughdough bread and local cheeses and delicious meats and salads etc. The pizza wood fired using their soughdough is also delicious. Since moving to Sudbury, we have been in search of an authentic country pub nearby. Following our first visit yesterday, I am thrilled to have discovered just what we were searching for. The White Horse is not a gastropub, of which there are plenty in the area. This is a true PUB, complete with on-site brewing and a fantastic selection of beers, ciders, gins, and other beverages. Their menu features items such as sourdough pizza, cheese platters, and meats that pair perfectly with the drinks available. Additionally, the staff is exceptional and provides excellent service. We will definitely be returning soon.

This restaurant is a fantastic spot to sit outside and soak up some sun, weather permitting. The atmosphere is peaceful and the selection of beers looked impressive, although we couldn't indulge as we had to drive. The lunch options were a bit underwhelming for vegetarians, and the ploughman's lunch seemed more like a pricey snack than a substantial meal for our hungry group. Despite this, the staff was friendly and the pub had a welcoming vibe. We will surely return because the setting is truly stunning.

The restaurant is fantastic, with delicious food and friendly staff. However, the campsite is horribly overcrowded with 30 pitches crammed too closely together, creating a fire safety hazard. The noise level is intolerable until the early hours of the morning, and the facilities are inadequate for the number of campers. Instead of the peaceful and family-friendly atmosphere that was once enjoyed, the campsite has now turned into a rowdy and unpleasant place to stay.

Stayed locally for a couple nights and came here for both of them, lovely couple that run the pub, fantastic selection of beers, my wife thoroughly enjoyed her pizza, the cheese charcuterie is insane, we had this both nights!!! It’s the local away from the local. We will be back
