The White Lion Pub

I 've been coming to the White Lion (or 'The Top House ', as I knew it growing up) on and off for about 20 years, and it never disappoints. Though I 've seen numerous landlords come and go, this place, much like Bramcote Village in which it is situated, maintains a feeling of familiarity, along with a sense of permanence that I find very comforting. The pub itself is split into two rooms, neither of which are massive. The smaller of the two is up a couple of steps from the main room, which acts as more of a dining room. Both rooms have a bar. I went to The White Lion in Bramcote in December for their Steak deal and it was amazing! The portion sizes were generous and the steak was cooked perfectly. We also enjoyed a bottle of red wine, which was excellent for a house wine. I decided to add scampi as an extra and barely finished it all! The atmosphere was cozy and the service was excellent. We will definitely be returning soon. I highly recommend it.

A lovely meal at lunch time. We chose off the small plate menu which are really good value and not actually that small! I had the veggie lasagne which was lovely. My mother in law had the ham and eggs and the egg was runny and cooked to perfection just as she requested. The pub is cosy and the staff are really friendly. Keep up the good work and we will be back in summer! Great value and lovely food

Booked in for Mother’s Day lunch. Sam and the team amended the menu for us and went above and beyond to make sure we were well looked after. We will return, especially for the treacle pudding! Thanks to all at The White Lion

I visited this charming pub with its welcoming and attentive staff. We tried some dishes from the new menu and found them to be absolutely delicious. We will definitely return in the future.
