Over the years we have visited dozens of alpine pastures and huts in the Alps. This probably has the best kitchen. They offer traditional mountain dishes, nothing special to offer, but food is simply great. We had pea soup, knodelsuppe, kasespatzle and schnitzel. Especially spatzel and crunchy soup were exceptional. Restaurant is a self service, you need to order food and drinks in the Almose. Tell them the number of your table and the food is pretty fast brought to your table. The almosis can be quite busy, but there were always places available. Views are fantastic, atmosphere very pleasant. In any case it is worth stopping.

The Tillfussalm hat is in a dramatic landscape worthy of the Rockies, but a quite simple walk from Klamm. It is here to sit outside with my hiking group in this magnificent setting that I had the greatest and most delicious winemaker Schnitzel of my life. Washed down with a big beer, this may be done for a difficult walk after lunch - but it was worth it. Friendly and efficient service of the family who own it. Worth a visit.

I last wrote about this fine place in July 2015, and as little has changed I'll be brief. Being a creature of habit, I opted again for the Weiner Schnitzel, and was once more delighted by the quantity (there were two) and quality. The large beer went well with it, too. A thoroughly pleasant experience once more.
