Tio Javi's Fresh-mex Grill

My father and I flew into a LSU basketball game (we have eaten on the way team) and decided to come here - before I even talk about the incredible food, I would like to first acknowledge our incredible waitress Theresa. She was by far the best waitress I ever had. The most beautiful, sweetest woman and made sure we feel at home. I really can't say enough good things about her, but although the food was so good with HUGE portions, I will make sure that back (which I am in October) because of Theresa. Now for dinner, so good drinks... and you get a ridiculous amount of food with your order - and the food is phenomenal. I can't support this place enough. Thank you. Tio Javi's

I had lunch here with my son, who has Celiac’s Disease. The manager Blake was AMAZING. After talking with him, I had full confidence that they were going to make sure my son didn’t accidentally get gluten. When he ingests gluten, he throws up for 4 6 hours, so it’s serious. Blake even went out of his way and fried up the tortilla chips in a separate pan so my son could enjoy them. Almost all Mexican restaurants have gluten free tortilla chips, but they’re contaminated because they’re cooked in the same fryer as things with flour. I felt like we were Blake’s own family, the way he took care of us. I highly recommend Tio Javi’s. The food was outstanding.

Eat here for the first time, but immediately a new favorite. Everything is from scratches, including flour and corn tortillas, and you can say the difference! The red green salsas you get with your chips is good from the charts! Lillie, who was our server, made our experience wonderful. She was super friendly, knowledgeable about the menu, offered some great suggestions to try things and was so accommodating for all requests that we throw them away. Best service we have experienced throughout a very long time. Coupled with great food and a great environment, this is one of our regular spots! Keep the good work Tio Javi.

My husband surprised me with the date night here after I bugged him there. The chips and salsa were great. We loved the Queen. Our food was supplied hot and fresh. The drinks were good that I'm glad that my husband was driving. I would recommend everyone to eat here for a great Mexican restaurant with class.

Mr. and I were in Baton Rouge at night and stumbled over Javis. What a treat! We spent several hours in the bar with amazing food, delicious drinks and exceptional service. Jacob was the bomber. We will definitely visit again if we ever find ourselves in BR.
