Tofino - Reservar mesa

I love Tofino, the burgers are delicious, the fries are amazing, but I can't give it a better score because of the waiting times. You can easily wait between 1:30-1:45 hours between arriving and having the food on your table. I don't mind waiting 40 minutes for a dish at a busy restaurant, but that's a little too much to wait for burgers.I don't know if the kitchen is too small, or the cooks aren't quick enough, but it's a little ridiculous to go there on a Saturday late afternoon and wait nearly an hour for a table, plus 45 minutes for a burger. Plus, they didn't let us order fries while waiting, which would make everything so much easier to bear (it's hard to not get pissed at the waiting...

Okay, so I've been visiting this place Sind 2013 and have seen them developing from that time on.Pro:- The burgers are always delicious and the possibility to choose between well-done and English makes them even better. Also choosing from 3 kinds of cheese (cheddar, Gouda or blue cheese) makes you burger how you want it. But don't get the impression that they have like a million burgers. They actually have just half a dozen different burger types. - The fries are also very great esp. In combination with the garlic mayo. - What I like is the waiting list they have and accepting no reservations.The place is cozy. Contra:The device got worse over the time unfortunately. We witnessed a scene of a very nervous bossy lady, who was probably in charge of running the place. When she arrived she started talking to the waitress in an inappropriate way pointing out mistakes of the staff from the previous shift which was neither nice to watch, nor necessarily nice to be listening to. Apart from that, burgers were delicious, but not a wow and we had to wait for them for quite long. The size of the little burger (120g) is rather small, so if you happen to be there, you better go for the 200 g option. Apparently, place is well known among young people and not overcrowded, but more less full most of the time, so I guess they have reached at least a part of their customer...

Open kitchen means that there's something to see, but also to hear and to smell. You wouldn't come here for a quiet dinner.Seating is rather crammed, but the friendly and pretty waitresses go out of their way to accomodate everyone - which can be very difficult as this place usually is packed.And that for a good reason: the food - burgers, salads, steaks and french fries - is excellent! The menu is short, but what they serve is prepared carefully, with interesting and tasty burger combinations, from Rucola to grilled vegetables and Gorgonzola. This place tries to serve mostly organic or regionally produced food and drink, which I highly appreciate.Definitely my favourite burger place ever. Reserve uma mesa agora

The concept is good, service too, but the burger didn't live up to the hype. This is not such a bad thing as it means the search for the perfect burger goes on. There's room for improvement here. It maybe fine using organic beef, but there's more flavour in good free range beef. The fries portion is too big. It's enough for 2 people. They do have Brewdog beer, but that's to be expected in this type of joint.

There is no better place to eat burger in Essen. You can add a lot of delicious sauces and other sites. But you have to know, at a good place like this you cant make a reservation =) So, take your friends, a little bit time and a beer and you will be in heaven.

We went with friends, having heard a lot. Much ado. It was alright. Waited a while, fries were lukewarm, it was underwhelming. Also a lecture about how they serve rare as the meat is so special. We aren t going back.

In Tofino you may find very tasty meaty and veggie burgers, you may enjoy them in a very cosy and "gemütlich" place. Beer selection is also interesting

There isn't a real restaurant-atmosphere. We always order via phone and after 20 min. we can pick up the meal and enjoy the fantastic burgers at home.
