Do check out this friendly local bar with ever changing menu. We thoroughly enjoyed the music and the home cooked food. The menu is short but changes, most things seemed to be made on the spot and the staff were just so friendly. The owner...was around, staff explained the menu and music and food combo worked well. Both nights we visited pretty much a full house. As we've found in Germany good house wine. .

The service was polite, but not intrusive. You were not treated strangely if you drank two beers in the evening as a woman. You can go there alone. The atmosphere goes from students to the middle class. It is a very cozy art bar in which the various bands, cabaretists and artists repeatedly occur. You can also sit well outside on hot days. The premises were well maintained.

After a long walk through lovely Lübeck's Oldtown with its nice places and niches, it's a pleasure to sit down and relax at Tonfink in Grosse Burgstrasse, which itself is an attraction and a very nice and cozy place to be. Opening at p.m....daily, you can sit there, talk to friends or friendly strangers that are around there and have a delicious snack and some drinks.

Nice business in the middle of the old town. Delicious food, good drinks prices and almost daily live music. Always like to come.
