Toscana Italian Chophouse Wine

Beautiful restaurant with great vibes. The building used to be a bank and the interior designer retained parts of the main vault in the main dining room. Service was good but a bit slow. The biggest letdown was the food. The prices were high but the quality didn't match up. The grilled octopus appetizer was decent but the truffle pasta was much too creamy and frankly quite tasteless. My stomach was upset till the next morning. I didn't have the steak and perhaps that might have been better. But the steaks were all huge at 12oz or more, which I could not finish, so I wasn't able to try.

The ultimate in personal service, world class cuisine, and most importantly engaged friendly people. Toscana and their staff from Michael, to Eric, and to everyone there, they take time to listen to what it is the patron warrants. The whole team comes together and creates not only a world-class meal, but a dining memory. This is the place to go.

This is the worst restaurant in Portsmouth. The absolutely worst service and a kitchen that can’t keep up with the tables. Don’t come to me four times asked what I need and when I repeatedly tell you that I haven’t gotten what I ordered, send the host over to tell me you are out. We will absolutely never be back.

The food and service is always good. My friend and I both got espresso martinis and oysters to start. Both were great. We both then each got a lobster tail and mashed potatoes which were also great. We always have a good experience at this establishment.

The appetizers were very good, but entrees were just ok. I had the scallops, they were very salty. The room was impressive but very loud. So much potential but overall, disappointing.
