One of the best experiences I have ever had at a restaurant. The food was beyond expectations and the service was perfect. My girlfriend and I came in to celebrate a special day for the two of us. We came in not expecting anything and received so much more. Our server treated us so well and made us feel comfortable and like everyone else. She took the time with us to pick a wine and a meal. We have both been servers so we know the game but she treated us so well. It takes a lot to impress us both with a restaurant because we have been in the service industry. A really special place. Very cool atmosphere an old livestock auction house combined with fantastic Southern Cuisine. The fried green tomatoes were a little heavy on the breading, but the spicy pimento cheese between each layer made each bite scrumptious. Then came the main event... I had the shrimp and grits and my husband went for the Asiago mushroom chicken. Both had so much taste it should be illegal. This chef knows something about building layers of flavor. I can't say more. The food is just ridiculously delicious. Go here. Eat here. This place belongs in Charleston. What the heck is it doing in Statesville?

Whatever you do...get the fried green tomato and homemade pimento cheese appetizer. It is DELICIOUS. Filet mignon not cheap but melts in your mouth it's so tender. And using a historical building adds to the experience. Ask your waiter to tell you about it. Our waiter the first time we went told us all about it which we thought was awesome. Highly recommend going here!

Best selection of draft craft beer in town. Recently redrafted menu offers some great new dishes. Philly cheese and pimento burger are big hits.
