Umi Kaiten-Zushi - Reservar uma mesa

I used to love Umi Kaiten Zushi but it seems like they are under new management - my recent dining experience has been one of the worst I've ever had in Sydney, and I am saddened to realise that my once favourite sushi train has now degraded in cleanliness, ambience and service!- Some of the sushi looked a bit off in colour, it looked like the sushi had been rotating on the conveyor belt for hours and hours- The service was terrible, there was only a few other patrons in the restaurant but the 4 waiters strolled past still failed to notice that we were trying to take an order. I recently visit umi sushi nabe in haymarket, which has recently launched their new hot pot menu. I eat with a group and was surprised to see that it single hot pots! no exchange! hurra for me. I have never seen single hot pots and I am impressed. when they get in, they can see the hot stuffed area and I sit on the back of the restaurant. there are many groups of people eating, drinking, chatting and enjoying their food. I order a beautiful glass red wine, while mr weekend food escapes enjoys a beautiful refreshing beer. all you can eat hot pot buffet has a special at the moment of pp lunchtime time limit) or pp dinner where it is minute limit.

I have used a groupon for everyone who can eat hot pot a boat full of sashimi and seafood with great presentation. I liked the great variety of fried rice to sushi and of course the hot pot ingredients. the personal was friendly. just what I didn't like was the tongs that was used to pack food, all were confused in a container that was not meat and meat. so far no food poisoning, but pretty good meat!

Waiter got our order wrong, delivered our plate to us anyway. When we didn't like the taste of the wrong dish and asked for it to be excluded from our bill they agreed to it but charged us anyway at the cashier desk. What disgraceful service, will never be coming back again!

This is right in George st, great place to eat, amazing décor, staff are lovely. Food is great and they have a variety for dishes.
