Uptown Barrel Room

I'm honestly a bit torn about this restaurant... moreover because it seems to be having an identity crisis trying to walk the line between an upscale restaurant and a sports bar.The food certainly wasn't bad but it also wasn't very special either. Overall, the dinner offerings felt far too heavy for a hot summer day. Some more elegantly assembled dinner options with fresh ingredients would have been appreciated.My biggest issue was how incredibly long it took for our server to bring me a glass of wine. I was halfway finished with my dinner before my glass arrived... not at all what I expected from a restaurant that is so widely known for their large wine selection.

This place is pretty chill and has inside and outside seating. They're quite reasonably priced for what you get. Lots of different options to choose from and the portions are pretty big. It takes a little while to get what you order so you know it's being made fresh in the back and not just kept heated under a lamp. Several different wine and beer choices ranging from inexpensive to exotic. I'd recommend giving them a try, they have something to suit just about everyone.Dietary restrictions: You can substitute for gluten free for an extra charge.

I got the fish and chips which was amazing, perfectly cooked and tasty. My wife got the steak bite entrée and was delicious as well. Our drinks were also well made. Not too busy on the weekdays so it's a greatt time to go.Food: 5/5
