Uptown Sports Bar @New Grand Hotel

Everything was going well until my food arrived at the restaurant. I had ordered the pasta special, but when it came out it was a small portion on a plate. I asked if it would have been a larger portion if I had ordered it from the regular menu and they confirmed that it would have been. It was disappointing because the food was actually delicious, but I can't go back to a place that tries to deceive its customers like that.

The food at this restaurant was amazing, especially the beef dip which was the best we've ever had. However, the service was terrible. An unfriendly female server brought us water and beer, while a male server brought our food. We were never asked if our meal was good or if we needed anything else. Overall, we felt like second class citizens and will not be rushing back to this place.

Stopped in the other night and tried the wings they were awesome. We sat at the bar and chatted with Karl while watching basketball. Excellent service. Will return for sure.

Damn good beer selection! Anchor steam and Mirror Pond at the ready! A handlebar moustached beauty serving em up fresh and some pretty funny aussies doing some trivia!

The service at this restaurant was awful and I was not impressed. The food was also below average. Despite living in Nelson, I will not be coming back.
