Ask a local about Urban Steam and you’ll immediately want to get a table here for your next night out, brunch, or just coffee. This restaurant does it all from roasting coffee to all you can eat spaghetti. The venue vibes with Banksy prints and mellow jams across its two part floor plan—food to the left, coffee to the right. Be sure to reserve a table if you’re stopping by on the weekends. This place stays packed. That’s the good. So here’s a bit of the bad, all of which is avoidable and may not reflect your experience. My wife and I have been coming here for several years. They have changed their menu and raised their prices. The Monster Burrito is largely potatoes and black beans had to search to find the eggs and bacon. One coffee and two entrees $62 with tip. I am afraid they have priced themselves out of our budget.

Service was very slow. The light fixtures and vents along the ceiling are covered with grease and dirt. A service charge is automatically added, and there were only two of us. Food was not worth going back for.

We had a table of 4. Three of us ordered fried chicken and waffles….the chicken and waffles were over cooked and burned.
