Van Leeuwen Ice Cream

Double scoop in a waffle cone cookies and cream birthday cake 5 ! Van Leeuwen started in NY fifteen years ago and expanded into LA a while ago. They are one of many wonderful ice cream places to visit and enjoy a sweet treat. Their ice cream is rich and creamy and packed with flavor. They also have a robust selection of non dairy options. The waffle cone was amazing and very fresh. There is a core menu of popular flavors, and they rotate in special flavors. I know I can get their ice cream in lots of LA grocery stores, but I'm always more interested in visiting the actual scoop shops. This location is in an area with tricky parking. I can't admit openly where I parked to stop by.

You can't go wrong with a delicious dinner followed by ice cream! I had always noticed this place on DoorDash but had never had the opportunity to try it myself. I was thrilled to find they offered an incredible variety of flavors. The shop was charming and cozy, and I loved how vibrant and cheerful the atmosphere was. The artwork outside was delightful, too! Since it was my first visit, I appreciated the friendly assistance from the staff. The girl who helped me recommended a brown sugar brownie ice cream, which was absolutely fantastic. I'll definitely be coming back to sample the other flavors!

I've been here before since I live nearby. Unfortunately, in terms of taste and quality, this place likely has the worst ice in the city. The service is average, but when it comes to the ice and flavor options, there are far better choices in town if you're willing to drive a few miles. They do offer vegan options, which might explain their popularity with the many vegans in the neighborhood. However, if you're not vegan and have a car, I'd recommend going somewhere else entirely.

if you like me or after the real ice cream not some locale candle wax or some sherbet or something like that you may have discovered this ice cream by now in whole foods or something like that. it's not cheap but it is heaven and they've now open stores. this one's on Franklin did a big jolly guy serving it up and he was happy to give me what I wanted and it was wonderful. Parking can be tricky; the lot around the corner is for other businesses and is strictly monitored. Street parking is a challenge as well, but it's a nice walk to the restaurant. I've never been there when it's empty, which is a good sign! Prices are on par with Los Angeles, but not excessively high.

If I ever go vegan, I know I'll be ok bc I can still eat Van Leeuwen vegan chocolate Fudge Brownie ice cream. Their vegan flavors are superior to their classic imo! Nice place in Hollywood, and the workers are so cold and friendly. They gave me tons of samples and fun to chat with!

Delicious ice cream. I also ways get the chocolate chip cherry flavor. It is more expensive than most but a great treat!
