Still fantastic even after all these years. The pizza here has the best toppings and crust in the city. I highly recommend trying the "Varsity" pizza, which includes a delicious combination of red sauce, mozzarella, pepperoni, sausage, onion, paprika, and mushroom. While you wait for your pizza to cook, you can order some wings from Gus, and he will call your name when they're ready for pick-up. During our visit to Syracuse for Orange Preview Day, we decided to check out Varsity, which came highly recommended. Despite the chaos of the Syracuse Clemson game, we were able to easily grab a quick meal. We were pleasantly surprised by the prices, as we were able to enjoy a drink and two slices of pizza for under $9. The atmosphere was lively (Syracuse was winning 21-7) and the students were having a great time. The service was quick and friendly. However, we encountered a small mishap when the pepper shaker was missing its top and ended up covering our entire pizza in pepper. I highly recommend this restaurant for their amazing chicken bacon ranch pizza. I order it almost every weekday for lunch and it never disappoints. The crust is flavorful and has a hint of buttery garlic, and the mozzarella is delicious. The service is fast and friendly, and I always have a great experience dining here. I plan on ordering a whole pizza from them one day, but usually I just want to go home after work. The quality of the food at this place is consistently top-notch.
