Verses Bistro inside the Hotel Nelligan has an excellent Sunday Brunch. It is conveniently located behind Basilica Norte Dame (Old Montreal) in a historic building with character. We had brunch which included huge portions of pastries, eggs, meats and fruit.....all prepared to perfection. The fruit...was perfectly ripened and the main course was served fresh from the griddle. Excellent coffee accompanied a perfect brunch. Be sure to ask for Rianna as your waitstaff. She was pleasant, efficient and had a thorough knowledge of the menu and preparation of meals which helped due to some dietary restrictions. As a woman dining alone, I have never been treated so well. The customer service was outstanding. The evening manager, Carole, and the two people who attended to me (Romy, I believe, and a nice young man), were very attentive. Carole checked in on me...constantly, asking how everything was, what my life was like, refilled my water etc. Her staff really like and respect her. The warmth amongst them is palpable. I will be coming here again. The food was amazing, and the decor very cosy and inviting. It is quite large, and there are booths available for larger groups. 5 stars out of 5.

The Verses Burger (Brioche bread, brie, bacon, caramelized onions, black garlic mayonnaise, Boston lettuce and tomatoes, served with fries or salad) was excellent. I am not one for seafood or fancy dinners but the burger was great. Friends had the Cornish Hen and they quite...enjoyed it. Service was on point. We did not have reservations but they made room for us after exploring the old part of Montreal.

my wife and I loved our experience! we went there on a Friday night and there was a live band playing jazz. our waitress, catherine, felt very comfortable. she was very knowledgeable, made us excellent recommendations and led my wife very well...(she is gluten-free intolerant). the food and wine we had were absolutely delicious! I recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to spend a great evening!

Great dinner with colleagues and partners, taking advantage of the 29$ Table D'hote for the Happening Gourmand. Limited choices on the menu, but great results on the plates ! Very tasty, fine, and not too much in terms of volume. Great service too. Only negative...point: the lighting in the room, a bit too dark to appreciate the whole experience. Great service by our waiter, Mathieu Dumoulin.
