On this and previous visits to Alsace, we've eaten quite a few tartes flambees. For me, this was the best ever. The restaurant is small and cosy good job we booked and the atmosphere informal and friendly. The decor is quirky, which I liked: no cliches here. We chose to share a large salad to start, with slices of smoked duck and some foie gras. Delicious! Then my husband enjoyed a tarte flambee with mushrooms, which he said were intensely flavoured. I had one with asparagus, trout and salmon. Light, crisp, very thin, with generous topping, it was probably the best tarte flambee I've ever had. No formality, no stodge, and a very reasonable bill. Just a lovely evening.
