Via Mare - Reservar uma mesa

Needed a lunch stop before lunchtime finished so Via Mare was convenient even though I had some reservations given the mixed reviews. Well the setting on a terrace practically on the water with lovely views of L’Ile-Rousse definitely counts for something. I had a salad which was absolutely fine but nothing more and it seemed pretty expensive for what it was at 17 Euros. Service was good. If you want a lovely setting and ok food then go but don’t go if you are more concerned with having fabulous food.

The view is nice, the food is average to be honest, as we do not speak french we could feel from one of the waitere that he do not like us, he never replied to us in english at all, did not look us into the eyes on the other hand we saw he was much nicer with others, unfortunately this made our experience pretty low.

Had a lovely ice cream sundae watching the sun go down. Came back next morning for breakfast, after having walked up to the lighthouse. Great spot on the waterfront. Excellent place for a meal or a drink.

Much better than a lot of restaurants in the center. Good food and nice view. Price on average. We have been there for a couple of times and always satisfied of food quality

Wonderful cooking by chef . The restaurant is simple and modern and has superb views from its outdoor seating.
