The moment I walked in I was met with a wonderful aroma. They were grinding their fresh coffee beans to bag. I was on a mission for tea though, and was thrilled by their array of loose-leaf teas. They are priced by weight and you can choose how much you want of each. They're individually bagged, heat-sealed and labelled. And if you would rather just have some there, you can choose any one you want for a tea latte. I got the Kashmir Tea Latte and it was amazing! They even asked if I wanted sweetener, and what kind. An adorable little tea/coffee shop. For me, the greatest treasure here is the loose leaf teas. I'm particularly fond of the Queen Victoria. They also sell coffee (not my cup of tea) and have a small shop with various odds and ends (see photos). There are a few tables, although more for chatting than working I would say. The folks behind the counter were friendly, and quite understanding about my indecisiveness about which teas I wanted. Also very knowledgeable about the steeping of my tea. I will definitely be returning, and I hope to try all the tea!

A local favorite and the best place in Santa Barbara to purchase the finest quality of coffee beans and enjoy the best coffee in town. Their muffins are yummy too. Friendly staff that is like having another family at the coffee house.

Found this place by accident and immediately loved it, it’s very warm, charming and authentic. I went there for breakfast and found a wide variety of coffee options and pastries. Staff attention was outstanding.

Best place to buy loose leaf Chai tea. And their Queen Victoria tea is just the thing for watching Masterpiece Theater on Sunday evenings. A must-visit shop every time I'm in Santa Barbara.
