Village Tavern (Hanes Mall Blvd) Winston-Salem

We were seated for our reservation right on time. Our server was excellent! Really great, actually. She was careful to make sure we were well cared for. The food was excellent. No complaints from anyone our group and some of them are really picky. My only complaint with this location is the noise level. With a full restaurant (as it was Saturday), you can barely hear people at your table speaking. It’s really quite deafening! Fundamentally, this is a building design issue and is nearly completely correctable. Add some sound absorption to the space and bring it down a few dB’s!

Previously I had only been to the Village Tavern in Reynolda Village, but since this one took reservations my friends and I decided to come here, and we are so glad we did! The menu has a few more options than the Reynolda one, including the Cajun Seafood Pasta which I had and it was incredible! My friends and I all got pasta dishes and all we could say was how good it was. Will definitely be coming back again and again!!

Our server, Kevin, was fantastic. Unfortunately the calamari appetizer tasted strongly of fish and couldn't be eaten. The sausage and black pepper honey flatbread pizza would have been better if it wasn't dripping with honey.

First visit to Village Tavern...we LOVED it! Fabulous food in a very nice atmosphere! We will definitely be back when we're in the area.
