Wabi-q Bbq Hot Pot

I was pretty surprised to see that this hot pot place didn’t have tong ho or enoki mushrooms. This made for one of the smallest selections of ingredients I've seen at a hot pot restaurant. The broth was another letdown – it was watery and didn’t have much flavor. This is a big deal, as the broth is a key part of a good hot pot experience. Also, the meat didn’t taste fresh; it had that freezer-burned flavor. This took away from the meal, as you expect the ingredients in hot pot to be fresh and tasty. The chairs were also really, really small and uncomfortable. My legs were hunched up, and I'm not a particularly tall person.

Honestly, it's hard to knock anything here. I enjoyed the experience and, as a KBBQ vet, was thoroughly pleased with the offering. I would offer these two critiques the rice was cold and the portions small, and the original broth was a bit low on flavor. Otherwise good bang for the buck super stuffed. Google and sign on door at the location say close at 10:30 and yet they closed and locked the door IN MY FACE at 9:48. Absolutely unprofessional and unbelievable Service: 1
