The reason me and my partner chose this place to eat is that the decor was so charming and wonderful, that we were incredibly excited to visit it just based on the ambiance as we passed. We booked a table for the following night, noting that the menus were on the door and there were several quite expensive menus, but assuming they were for two people (or if not, could easily be shared as the quantity was definitely enough for two). We arrived at the restaurant and inside it was as we 'd expected from the outside. The lighting, decor, colouring and personal touches were really, truly ideal for a night of sushi from, clearly, an artist of kinds. The chef clearly took great care in creating the...

For anyone who has ever eaten fresh sushi and sashimi in a real Japanese restaurant, this restaurant is not for you. The food was barely acceptable. The service was rude and a bit ridiculous. Only overpriced fixed menus and very little choice. So you have to have (and pay for) a starter, bad miso soup and dessert even if you don't want it. There are only 3 or 4 types of raw fish including salmon and albacore tuna. They are absolutely inflexible about any substitutes. There is only one menu with sashimi; it's 43 euros, and there are only 6 sashimi. We both chose the least expensive menu at 32 euros. The salmon sushi was cooked, which is usually done to kill parasites when the salmon is not sup...

I had a great dinner here with personal explications grom the chef about each sachimi on my plate. The chef also made personal efforts to find me a table although his restaurant was -deservedly -fully booked on a Saturday evening. I took the Nebi menu with warm sake. Not the cheapest place (70 € for one person but absolutely worth it. The only point that was somewhat puzzling is the background music : it was classical piano music whereas I would have expected more oriental tunes during this delicious dinner.

Very good sushi, the best here in Lyon, but not the best sushi in France. I've had better in Paris and for half the price. Also, I found it too pricey for what it is, and the tempura were not real tempura like in real Japanese restaurants. The chefs are also Korean, so the sushi were Korean-style. Very good ambience though, and the Sake Tonic was amazing.
