Wanting a break from Autobahn driving, we turned off near Hamm and followed our noses, happily arriving at Wieland Stuben for a much needed lunch break. We were warmly welcomed and found a place in the beautifully decorated restaurant. It was a shame that the weather was cold and damp as the terrace looked extremely inviting - we were sorry that we couldn't sit there. Herr Oberle and his team provided excellent service and we had a lunch to remember including Wieland Stuben's unique "hamburger" with smoked salmon. We used to come to business dinner when we lived and worked in Germany. We had a trip back to visit friends at Christmas and celebrate an anniversary. We were 8 for dinner. The menu was very varied and there was an excellent selection of wines, including our German favorites. The service at the beginning was a bit slow as the restaurant was packed: we were lucky with the reservation. Once we were at the top of the service list, everything went really well. I thought the risotto was excellent. Everyone was happy with his choice. Christmas decoration was beautiful. The standard is as high as it ever was, very unusual to find a restaurant like this.

We shared an excellent dinner for a set dinner in family, the restaurant well decorated, welcome and excellent dishes, service and atmosphere are “uni solo” the team offers excellent service and we had a dinner to remember. Remember!
