Wine And Dine At The Red Lion

Our friends from the USA were staying at the "Red Lion" during a quick trip to the UK and invited us to join them for dinner. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere was pleasant. We shared three starters - Burrata, garlic mushrooms, and squid - which were all very tasty. For our main courses, we had a variety including fish and chips, fish topped with a poached egg on risotto, and chalk stream trout with sauté potatoes and broccoli. My personal favorite was the trout, which was beautifully cooked and delicious. This hotel and restaurant is a perfect spot for a cozy overnight stay. Located near Bury, the surrounding countryside is charming and picturesque. The decor is lovely and the hospitality is top-notch. Highly recommend this place for a relaxing and enjoyable experience.

The accommodation suited our purpose and we'd stay again. Being there on a Friday Saturday the noise from the bar was a slight inconvenience until closing time for one of our party.

My family of five had a wonderful stay in the family suite, which had plenty of space for all of us. The staff were all very friendly and the food was delicious.
