If you are touring the Schilcherland with a car, bike or on foot, this is a wonderful place to take a rest and enjoy some local wine and food. A Buschenschank is a winery which also serves some simple meals along with it's own wine. Food choices are usually salads, soups, plates of cold cuts of meat and cheese together with fresh bread. All of these foods are well paired with the wines produced. If you do not know what to order look around and see what looks good on other visitor's plates and order accordingly.

cozy, friendly place, few steps from the beautiful but very tourist weinstraße, beautiful view over the village st stefan excellent products. in autumn they roast chestnuts before the chapel, animals play around, a place where they feel welcome!

Sehr nette Wirtsleute. Brüsterl hauch dünn aufgeschnitten. Nicht nur Wein, sondern auch Kräuter und Früchte aus eigenem Garten. Selbst gemachter Kräutersaft ist ein Traum.

Ich kann nur das Beste berichten. Hervorragende Speisen, bester Wein und freundliche Inhaber. Nehme auch gerne einen größeren Umweg zu einem Besuch in kauf.
