Underwhelmed and under sauced is how we can sum up our dinner. After reading good reviews and then having to make reservations and come back another night, we had high hopes for a birthday dinner. The onion soup was delicious like others have written. Service was friendly but very forgetful. We ended up with one wrong dish and no sauce at all for our plates. Our server didn't check in once the whole meal so we couldn't even ask for any sauce. Ultimately, it was a very expensive piece of dry fried meat without much seasoning and some unseasoned fries on the side. The restaurant was fully booked Monday evening! , but we had reservation and were shown to a pleasant table. My main course was delayed the order was incorrectly entered into the order system . The waiter immediately explained what had happened, offered a round of drinks and sorted it out asap. It was pleasant to experience real customer service and professionalism. I tried to leave a tip, but it was turned down as ‘unearned’. This is a busy place to visit!

This is a great restaurant in the old town city. The service was very friendly, the menus good especially for local seasonal food! Great beer from own brewery. The hotel in the same building is excellent! A must visit place

Worst experience in Europe. The host was rude to us at the start and it kept on going throughout the dinner. We couldn't wait to get out of there. The food was subpar-it didn't have much taste.

We had a very nice dinner on a warm August evening. Sitting outside and enjoying Trier. Good food, nice beer and the local Mosel wines.
