I have just had takeaway Haddock and chips washed down with a can of their finest RIO and I can honestly say this is a fantastic chippy. Haddock cooked fresh to order had a beautiful light crispy batter and the haddock tastes terrifically fresh. Chips are tasty, crispy on the outside and soft in the middle. Rio is just Rio. But, what is most amazing is that everything was still as it should be even after a fifteen minute car journey ! Nothing soggy or sweaty. The five to ten minute cooking time is well worth the wait in the comfortable restaurant area. Staff are delightful and very friendly. Well done Y-Pass ! It’s somewhat hidden away up an alleyway but if you look for the sign it’s easy enough. Great food, all freshly cooked. Give yourself time to wait, it’s worth it!
