Yamabuki - Reservar uma mesa

Despite making a booking, we were sat next to the toilet which smelled like stale air freshener. Very unappetising. The service was terrible and it took a very long time for a waiter to come around to our table at all. They got our orders wrong and subsequently the bill too. The food was nice once we came out but the overall experience was negative and I wouldn't come back.

This restaurant has been operating for about 25 years from this location. I lived in Japan for 2 years and find this restaurant provides some of the most authentic Japanese food I have found in Australia. The staff have always been friendly and efficient and I cannot recommend it my highly. The decor is simple and clean but it is the food I come for.

The moriawase platter for two was big enough for 4. So fresh. Delicious fish. Yummy California rolls. We also had Ocean Trout in Teriaki sauce. Octopus balls and Baked eggplant stuffed with mince chicken. All delicious generous serves.

The establishment is demur to look at but the food was lovely and i had a crispy salmon roll that was so good i had to order more!

Yamabuki is near a popular and expensive restaurant but may actually out shine its neighbour, but let’s keep that to ourselves.
