Yats - Reservar uma mesa

The bread is excellent, and their version of Gumbo is a good choice. My jambalaya recommendation is DO NOT get it. Jambalaya is only available on Fridays and Saturdays. As you can see from my attached photo from my last visit, the chicken and sausage jambalaya had no sausage and only 2 teaspoons of chicken. The taste was rice, very heavy on the tomato, green pepper, and some spice. If you are looking for an acceptable jambalaya, there are at least 3 places within 10 miles that serve a good one. Note that this was not a take out order. The clam shell is what they now serve dine-in in.

I’ve eaten here many times and it’s not bad, But, we just ate at the Yats on 96th st and what a world of difference. 96th st is still just like the original Yats. Htc needs to go to 96th st and take some notes! it seems like HTC prices go up every time I eat there.

Never have I seen a sadder representative of the Yat’s chain. Plain non-funky decor and no beer. For a time there was even no music playing in the dining room. Food was alright. Not the best Yat’s I’ve had. I’ll be back to Yat’s, but probably not this location.

The drunken chicken etouffee was delicious. I added bacon and fried onion toppings and added a side of Cajun toast. It was well cooked and flavorful.

Food was great as always...was gobsmacked they no longer carry Cajun Power Powder.
