Zach's Bistro - Reservar uma mesa

Zach was super friendly and helpful. We had the tasting menu and all of the seafood dishes were great. The crab cakes have huge chunks of crab and aren't filled with unnecessary fillers and are not greasy/oily. The clams and mussels were in a garlic white wine sauce, which actually allows you to taste and enjoy the seafood, since so many places now smother their clams/mussels in sauces. The steak wasn't our preference, but we aren't from the US, so not sure if it's just a diff type of taste. The cut has more fat and is a bit more oily/less seasoned than our taste. We had an absolutely fabulous dining experience here with Zach! He runs the place entirely on his own, acting as host, waiter, and chef. The kitchen is entirely gluten free, soy free, and corn free, which was amazing for my mother. She has many food allergies but was finally able to order anything on the menu! The crab cake starter was delightful as was the seafood stew. There was an herb gluten free bread that was better that most any bread I’ve tasted. The scallops were to die for, and the strawberry filbert cake dessert was lovely! The menu is a little confusing but it’s totally worth figuring out. I was very excited to try Zach’s and it did not disappoint. The crab cake was exceptional because it was almost all crab. The sprouts on top of cake were sunflower sprouts and I liked their flavor and texture. My entree of wine battered halibut was delicious and there was lots of halibut! The slaw was crunchy and flavored with vinegar. Before our appetizer we were served a slice of Spanish cheese and after the crab cake we were served a chunk of bread with cinnamon flavored butter. Both of these little extras were delicious. After our entree we had a light cheesecake (almost mousse like versus a dense cheesecake texture) topped with cranberries and hazelnut. We came as a happy accident when another restaurant we visited was booked for the evening (Worth noting is that the other restaurant recommended we come here . The food and service were great. I had the crab cakes that were full of sweet crabs instead of a little crabs and a few fillers. The mango salsa with the crab was also excellent. My husband had the osso bucco, who was rich, tender and tasteful. We finished delicious with the homemade ice cream! We love the fact that everything was so fresh and the extras are made in the house (bread, ice, etc.). I am surprised to read Bruce's criticism because our experience was quite the opposite. Go! Zach and the staff have not disappointed!

We had a wonderful dinner at Zach’s. Zach is very warm and welcoming and his food was delicious! We had the fried rockfish with yummy potatoes with mustard, steamed mussels crab cake. Everything was gluten free, which was great for our dietary restrictions! A charming bistro with a very attentive host. Oh, the wine list was great, too!
