Zaoq Indian Restaurant

We waited for an hour for our food, even though we were told there was only a 35-minute wait. We ordered the medium butter chicken, but it lacked any taste or flavor. It was not even mildly tasty, almost like it had been frozen. The chicken had a strange taste, as if it was old. The naan bread was thick and undercooked, resembling a basic thick pizza crust. I would not recommend this restaurant.

I have tried many Indian curries over the years, and I would say it is my favorite cuisine. However, my experience at Zaoq was the worst I have ever had. We ordered a takeaway to be delivered to our house. My chicken vindaloo was so spicy that I couldn't eat it, and my partner's medium heat rogan josh was even hotter than my vindaloo. I would not recommend wasting your money at this restaurant.

As a native, we have ordered several meals from Zaoq and they have been very good. One important thing to keep in mind is that if you're not a fan of spicy food, make sure to specify that you want your dish mildly spicy. Medium spice level can be too much for some people!

Good flavours for a mass produced, out of the can curry house. I prefer hand built curries, but this works if you're in a hurry.
