Though recently re-decorated and re-organized this has more of the feel of a traditional Black Forest Wine Stube than the heavy beams and quaint buildings that can be found.Chairs and tables in the window and comfortable seating with tables down one side of the room, a Bar the other side. Not a large menu, but well cooked and a good "salad bar" on offer to accompany the dishes. Excellent local Red wine (somewhat less dry than reds from other Countries and blessedly lacking in over oaked tannin make these Wurtemberg wines a fascinating alternative to the usual). Rustic furnished restaurant only vis-a-vis the Bad Liebenzeller Station and in a few steps from there to reach. Small garden terrace overlooking the street. Local hearty German and Balkan specialities at reasonable prices (ZIgeunerschnitzel with Spätzle and salad for 9.50 Euro, small salad with bread for 2.90 Euro, Cevapcici with supplements for less than 10 Euro). Defendant Vesper. Good to return after a hike or bridge the waiting period until the next train.
