We loved this place in prior visits to Islamorada. Looked forward to it for nearly a year. Pricey but had been well worth it. This time must have been an anomaly, or maybe just a sign of the times. All of the food looked amazing, but everyone agreed (party of 5 that the food was bland. From fish, to steak, to pasta, to lobster Mac n cheese, and all sides. Not sure what happened but we all left feeling a bit of disappointment. After dinner the waiter accidentally dropped a butter dish on my lap. It wasn’t a big deal. I wiped it off. This is one of the best steak houses I have ever been to. I tried the delmonico steak and it was incredibly flavorful and tender. The garlic butter added a nice touch to the steak. The steaks were large and hearty. We also ordered mac and cheese and asparagus as sides, and everything was delicious. The mac and cheese was rich but very tasty. I can't praise the steak enough, it was truly amazing. Others at my table got the filet mignon, shrimp and grits, and chicken dishes, and everyone was extremely satisfied. If you are in Islamorada and looking for a special dinner experience, this place is worth a visit! Also, the martinis are fantastic. Have I mentioned how amazing the steak is?

My experience at Ziggie and Mad Dog's was amazing. The drinks were excellent, the steak was cooked perfectly, and the sides were a great match for the meal. The waitstaff were friendly, professional, and made the evening memorable. The restaurant was busy, so I suggest making a reservation. I am excited to return!

The filet at this restaurant was excellent. It was cooked and seasoned perfectly, making it the best place in Islamorada for a steak.
