Location Parking When visiting the Christmas market of Michelstadt, it is almost obligatory to return to the magnificent brewery restaurant. The special daily dishes are served by exhibitors at the door of the brewery restaurant “Zum Deutschen Haus”. Parking is 5 minutes away on a very large parking lot. Ambiente Hoch goes to the restaurant via the steep stairs. For years the guest room has been brightly friendly and practical. Birch-coloured tables, heavy guest house chairs and a large counterfeit area. Service We had reserved in time and got a table in the middle of the happening. Im Odenwald ein typisch deutsches Lokal zu finden sollte leicht sein, ist es aber nicht. In den ehemals deutschen Lokalen werden meist südosteuropäische Inhaber, die sich eine solche Arbeit noch machen, angetroffen. Im deutschen Haus ist tatschlich noch drin, was drauf steht. Gutes deutsches Essen! Freundliche Bedienung, netter Innenhof, ehrliche Küche. Best! Und immer wieder gerne.
Checking out Michelsstadt we saw this brewery with its inner courtyard and checked out the menu. With local chanterelle as season special we couldn't resist - and were very surprised. An very tasty meal at an unbeatable price less than 15 Euro. Accompanied with locally brewed beer and sitting in the very peaceful and shady, but no fancy inner courtyard we really had a good time.
