We wandered into this restaurant on our first night in Thun--on a day that began the night before in New York. In other words, we were jet-lagged and famished. Karin and Urs, who run this place, were warm and welcoming, despite our lack of ability in German, French, or any other language spoken in Switzerland. And the food was tasty in an authentically Swiss way. My partner had the brautwurst, deliciously crisped and juicy inside. I ate the roesti, which I'd tried two years earlier in Bern and decided at that time was a too-greasy gut buster. But Urs' roesti is much lighter, with creamy potatoes perfectly crisped. Yum.
