Auberge du Pont des Samsons

We went there for lunch in family and were hoping to be surprised, it was not the case. The place not only needs a good clean up and coat of paint but it also needs a better chef. The staff was very polite but that’s is just not enough. $28 for a menu which includes a lot of food but the quality is not there, everting tasted as if it was industrially prepared and was not good quality products. Very disappointed, even the coffee was bad. We spent 100euros for 4 people, not including wine or alcohol. We couldn’t even finish our plates, that’s how bad it was.

I knew that Mondays might be hard to find an open restaurant; I didn't expect Tuesdays to be even more difficult. We stopped at Auberge du Pont des Samsons knowing nothing about it, we were looking for anyplace to eat. As it turned out it was all very good. I ordered a thigh of chicken in a cream sauce, my wife ordered sole. Both were served with english peas petit pois , sweet potato, and something similar to a fritter ? all very good.
