Avenue Bistro - Reservar uma mesa

Food is more expensive these days but Avenue Bistro could do better with their fish and chips offering. 1 piece of halibut and fries was 26 and a side of coleslaw was an extra 2. The fish was OK but a bit dry. The batter was light but not exceptional(it was take out but we ate within 10 minutes). All in all, the box was pretty disappointing on opening: especially if one ishungry, which I was. The piece of fish was small and the offering of fries was dismal and so much so that I thought it was amistake but all 3 orders fell to the same meagre level. OK, halibut is pricey but fries aren 't. Excellent service as always, the host server were both wonderful. Cocktails were fantastic too. Unfortunately both our main meals were lacking Malaysian Sockeye was very light tasting small portion of fish and the Italian Ragout was vinegary toosalty. We didn't have the energy to send the food back explain so made the best of it ate as we were hungry. Dessert wasexcellent. Not sure we will return as each entree was $30 both were disappointing, unfortunate as our previous experiencehas been good, though it's been some time.

Party of 7 and we had many different dishes. All were excellent. The beef tenderloin was unreal and perfectly cooked, the curry was excellent, and the pumpkin cheesecake was amazing. We?ll be coming back.

We came in for dinner and we all left with full bellies. ???? Great food paired with good wine. When I?m back in town I?m definitely eating here again.
