Ballydoyle Irish Pub

Wonderful restaurant near Paramount Theater. The interior is really pretty. Many if beautiful decor that gives the Irish pub the feeling. The outdoor area was right next to the Fox River. I grew up in this city and the city center was quite greedy. The city really did a great job to clean the area. It was really nice with planners everywhere. The stairs leading to the river were closed as some when they crumble and not use safely. The food was delicious. I had the fish and chips. The service was good. He was very busy and still managed to stop at the table a few times I eat here again. I would like to try out other articles because they looked wonderful when the waiting staff broke them out.

We came to a late lunch while my parents visited us and I was impressed. The interior was much bigger than I expected and looked like it had a lot of space to host events. We sat in the bar area. The atmosphere is what you would expect from an Irish pub, like drinks. I had a potato pancake filled with beef that was excellent. I had never put these two things together, but it was great! We didn't sit on the deck, but I've changed many times and it looks really nice!

Took my 17yo on Saturday night and we each had a chicken pot pie. Also had the beer cheese fries which were outstanding! and the delicious dessert donuts. The service was exceptional, the restaurant is cozy with pretty strung lights, and we had a really nice seat overlooking the river. I hadn't been here in awhile and had forgotten what a nice place it is, and central to all the fun Aurora stuff with plenty of parking available. Highly recommend!

Totally recommended, the place is beautiful, the environment sanction looks really like an Irish pub, the view of the river is unique. All the food I order was delicious and I'm not upset, honestly I didn't expect the food to be so good. Prices might look a bit high, but if people see the size of the part, you understand that the price is exactly what you pay. 100% satisfied.

Good food, good view, good service! Shepard's Pie is excellent. Try the house made chips also
