Bishop's Landing Restaurant and Lounge

In the last month, I have visited Bishop's Landing three times, once for breakfast, once for lunch, and one for dinner. Each visit, we sat inside due to the weather, although the patio does look very inviting. Thankfully, inside is just as pretty. There is no music playing which is a rarity and so appreciated. This allows for pleasant conversation and a non-rushed atmosphere. The seating is spaced out so you don't have to listen to your neighbour's conversation. The chairs are faux-leather and have some wear. One end of the room has normal height chairs and tables, and the other end is more lounge-like with rounded, lower chairs. There is also bar seating. We had both our dinner and our breakfast the next morning here. Joy, our waitress at dinner was very effective and very out going. The cute touch is that they have a fake coyote they put outside on the lawn that scares the geese away. At breakfast, the staff was friendly, the food wad decent and a nice touch is that coffee is free with our breakfast up to 11 am. Food is a decent price. Can't beat it!

The quality of the food was poor at best. The bacon wrapped scallops were very tough and over cooked. The salmon fillet had bones in it. The half rack of ribs were terrible. The vegetables were hard and partially raw The only decent thing we had to eat was a green salad. Unless its your only option, I would not eat there. We certainly won't be going back.

Prices have really risen at Bishop's Landing. Entrees are all over $30. Table service was excellent. We, in order to reduce the bill, had an order of fish and chips (not terribly good), and a hamburger with fries (excellent). A fine location near the water, and a great outdoor patio.

We ate in and servings were great! Due to the pandemic we ordered take out and the servings were less than half! A large fry was a small fry. For a 11$ we got a small fry
