An absolutely outstanding dining experience!! There is a small, intimate interior with tons of decor all over the walls. We ordered escargot and artichokes for appetizers. Both were delicious, especially the escargot, which might be my new favorite food! Who knew snails could be so scrumptious? As unrefined Americans, we only had water at the table, and a random waiter came up to us and said, “No, no, no, we must get you some wine for your meal!” And he proceeded to ask us what we were having for dinner, what we were in the mood for, etc., to find the perfect wine for us. This charming, traditional Parisian bistro features a wonderfully retro interior and offers a warm welcome from both the host and the staff, who speak English. The menu is impressively diverse, complemented by an outstanding wine list. We began our meal with razor clams cooked in parsley and garlic butter, along with baked goat cheese and salad. For our main courses, we chose the exquisite confit lamb paired with dauphinoise potatoes, followed by delightful desserts of îles flottantes and a scrumptious mille-feuille. The atmosphere is fantastic, and the prices are quite reasonable considering the quality of the food. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Great, great bistro. It was my first time and I will go back for sure. If you want a classic, small Bistro with perfect decor this is your place. The food, staff and owner were fanastic. In fact, a vagrant got into the restaurant and stole my iphone right off the table, I was stuck behind the table on the banquette but my friend, my wife and the owner chased down the thief on the street using Life 360 on my wife's phone. The owner confronted the thief and was able to recover my phone!!
What a great discovery! My friend had been wanting to try this place for quite some time. We arrived at noon and were fortunate to find available seating. The cuisine is inspired by Lyon, featuring plenty of lard and pork. We ordered the risotto, duck fillet, and a starter of sliced beetroot—all of which were absolutely delicious. Very cute, tiny restaurant. We had a fantastic entrecote and an even better cod as mains. Like seriously out of this world. Straight forward, no fancy chichi, but unbelievably delicious and of such outstanding quality and so amazingly well prepared… when in Paris: you should seriously make an effort to visit Chez Marcel. The starters were also to die for, just saying.
The decor is eclectic, and the host is quite eccentric, creating a very cozy and intimate atmosphere. The wine selection and recommendations were outstanding. While the food was delicious, it wasn't quite on par with some of the places I dined at in Paris. However, the overall atmosphere more than made up for it.
The cuisine is really surprising! The meat is well cooked and the sauce is totally stunning that you will want to lick the plates But to finish a 5/5 dinner, the desserts is not recommended at all, it ruin a little the happiness of having such a nice meal! Because it’s already made and assemble together after….
Beautiful rustic atmosphere and friendly staff. Everything we ate was good. I would suggest a nicer plating for the steak. Prices are normal. With the greetings from the kitchen (in the form of salami), we did not receive bread. Nevertheless, a good experience. Reserve uma mesa agora
