This should have been a straightforward order for 1 but ended up anything but. I was shown to my seat but had to ask for a menu when nothing came. The waitress asked if I 'd like a drink before food and I replied that as I hadn 't seen what was on offer I couldn 't. I ordered a bottle of ale that came at the overly warm room temperature having been asked if I 'd like ice with it! It would have been nice to have been offered a chilled option rather than warm or with ice. I ordered my meal, a burger with no coleslaw and an onion ring starter to come with the main meal. We visited this restaurant on the 7th August 2021 and to be honest, we would not recommend! To begin with, we waited almost 30 min for our starters alone. Our starters were 2 calamari and 1 onion rings. We would not even class the calamari as “calamari” it was soggy, the best description is the texture of a cheese string. The onion rings were on the better side but slightly greasy. Moving onto our mains we had almost been waiting 40 minutes by this time. While waiting we also had one of the waiters come up to us and ask us if we wanted our bill. This was before we had even eaten any food! I made a reservation for a table for 4 people tonight at 6pm while visiting my mom. I received confirmation that my booking was accepted, but when we arrived at the restaurant, we found it closed and in darkness. There was no explanation on the door as to why it was closed. Unfortunately, this experience has deterred me from returning. If the restaurant is closed, they should inform customers and stop accepting bookings. It is frustrating to arrive at a place that the website claims is open, only to find it closed. This is not good business practice.

We prebooked the table after reading the good reviews. Staff was clearly over worked and couldn’t keep up with the work load. We waited over 40 minutes for our starters and when we was finished they asked if we wanted the bill. After a further 20 minutes wait, the burgers arrived burnt and the chips were really undercooked. The chef kindly replaced the chips and took the inedible burgers off the menu. The chef was very apologetic. On a plus, the coleslaw is the best we have had. I would avoid when they are busy. I had reserved a table for 3 people after having a good experience on a previous visit. I received a confirmation email with a 15-minute window to keep our reservation, but when we arrived, the restaurant was closed. We had booked for 7pm on a Sunday when many other restaurants were closed as well. We wasted 30 minutes walking around trying to find another place to eat. This really ruined our evening and I would hesitate to book again as it seems the online service does not match the actual opening hours.

We found Byrgyr quite by accident but so glad we did, the best burger I've ever had hands down...my family(2 adults 2 kids) were all really impressed with the quality of the food and the service given. I spoke briefly with the owner who explained that our waiter was only 14 and was being given an opportunity to work so he was able to add it to his CV...the young lad was very polite and a credit to the resturant...to sum up...go here....it's great

Came with the family in the week. General service and food was poor! Like the concept but there is nothing authentic about the food you can get the same in Spoons. Sorry just not good value for money overall. Wait for the owners sarcastic review to this it would be better if they simply acknowledge customer comments and aim to put it right next time instead of placing blame on the paying customer. I do not recommend.

I took a chance, threw caution to the wind, ay caramba I was in for a surprise. I decided to go for the famous Ceredigion burger. My taste buds were in for a shock. They were performing dance moves like they thought it was 1999 again. Juicy, delicious.. MAMA MIA it was good. The service was exquisite, i felt like the true lord of Byrgyr. Reserve uma mesa agora

We popped in just for a quick bite for lunch, we didn’t expect it to be so nice! Me my boyfriend both had the Cheese Burger and it was, without doubt, the nicest burger we’ve both ever had! The meat was so tasty, tender, and juicy! It was so good, we had to go in and thank the owners (which I’ve never gone before). Definitely recommend!

Brilliant food and setting! The burger with king prawns was outstanding and the other non beef burgers caused my partner to be spoilt for choice! Highly recommend!
