Cafe Ihringer - Reservar uma mesa

We popped into the Café Ihringer on Easter Monday 2013, when the weather had picked up after a miserable weekend and Germany 's old folk had come out in their droves (and coaches) for a traditional early-afternoon coffee and cake. So it wasn 't the best time to try for a late lunch, but it 's a good way of showing up a place 's flaws. Having read some of the reviews in German, I thought it might be useful to add my thoughts in English, since they are well in line with one of the German reviews. While the queue at the cake counter was quite long, it was handled quickly and efficiently. Unfortunately, the same could not be said for the table service, despite a seemingly huge number of waiting...

We stopped between lunch and dinner to have dessert. The outside tables were full, so we sat inside. It took a long time to wait for everyone to be served outside. It also took a long time to get drinks and place our order. Fortunately, the black forest cakes and tar we had were very good for the time we spent. If you only get dessert, then I recommend you go to your cakes and find a nice bank near the church to enjoy them.

Also an old traditional Condottiere with enormous selection of tarts and cakes, Black Forrest cakes to its best! Freshly made every day and sold when ordering in the late afternoon. Fresh fruits. Place, choose cake inside and waiter brings this to your table within minutes at times when space is not very busy. Reservation of the table not possible.

We had to wait some time until a waitress showed up. After we had ordered the drinks and the food again, we had to take time. But the salads deserved to wait. Although the temperature on the terrain over 32°C, the food was fresh and also plentiful. The work on the market was disturbing, but this is not a point of criticism.

It's more like a tea house. If you like cake, that's the place to go. The Schwarzwaelderkirschtorte is special. The service is excellent.
