Cedars Restaurant & Lounge

We went to dinner with friends. In a group of 6: 1 person received a chicken dish when they ordered vegetarian 2 people ordered medium rare and were given well done. The manager explained that it was a new menu and the chefs were still learning. Really? This is the response for the price point they charge? Our waiter was lovely and tried really hard to make up for the quality of the food. Not entirely sure how they manage to stay open with only a 50% success rate on tables.

My wife had the butter chicken bowl and I had the rib eye with prawns. The food was excellent, especially the steak. Only downfall was that our server (an older waitress) was not the friendliest or most attentive. Also, ordered a slice of carrot cake to go that was pretty dry.. Overall, would recommend it though. Lively atmosphere and enjoyed the evening.

After researching the restaurant online, we had high expectations but were ultimately disappointed with the food. The atmosphere was pleasant and the service was decent, but the dishes were too salty, overcooked, and not enjoyable. Breakfast was slightly better than dinner, but not significantly.

Went to the lounge for half price appies and a pitcher of beer. Bruno gave us top notch service. He is a ninja server, the used dishes on the table disappeared. The food was delicious, wings, ribs and we shared a salad. Beer was cold with chilled glasses. Very enjoyable.

This is a perfect place to start for fantastic drinks food wine, great atmosphere sit by the fire. Enjoy the deer.
