Charingworth Manor

Stayed one night on visit to the cotswolds. Had two rooms with four adults and two babies. Rooms 117 and 122. Arandas I believe the name was for our room 117. Average room. Not worth the price. Found and killed about 6 spiders in the room. All the same type, big and small so assuming there was some that hatched recently (gross). I mentioned this to the front desk at checkout and had no remorse or apologies given to me. I have spiders in my home, you were on the ground floor with doors that access the grounds was what I was told. All the front desk staff are completely untrained and scatter brained. An outdoor sharing lunch selected and booked two days in advance was delicious. I wish I'd taken a photo! Smoked salmon, trout and mackerel along with whitebait, salad and assorted breads was more than I could manage, thank goodness my friend has a larger appetite than I. Relaxed and friendly environment and staff, beautiful surroundings, value for money. Service: 5
